We are in the process of upgrading Isaac's room. He really enjoys his truck sheets Mimi! And thanks to Granddad for the day of painting! There will be more to come after Christmas but at least we finally got started!

The Wedding...

O.K so this post is a little late, but better late than never...right?? Isaac and Emma were in the Clonginger-Cruce wedding last Sat. Isaac was very excited to wear his tuxedo until it was time to actually put it on. So...we bribed him. I think it was o.k. in this situation though...it was for someone else. We got to the church, put on the tux, and ate fruit snacks while waiting for pictures. I can't wait to see the ones that Amy took, but these will have to do in the mean time....

School
What was I thinking? Just when I thought I had it all figured out...I was doomed to fail Phonetics. I go to take my test today and find out the Dr. Tullos (whom I really like) has not yet graded my previous two tests. All of a sudden, I feel better. I would think it would be hard to fail a person when you never let them know how they are doing.

These are pictures from Thanksgiving on the farm. Waylan and Isaac made fast friends. I wish I had counted how many times they ran up the hill and rolled down into the leaves. They also marched and sang down by the lake at the bonfire. The big hit of the weekend was the four-wheeler ride. I only got made fun of a few times for my nervousness about the whole process. Apparently, uncle Jerry enjoyed it almost as much as the kids! And, as always, Cody was a great sport playing with the little
Heifer Project Live Nativity
Tonight we piled in the car and headed to Perryville, AR to the Heifer farm. As we drove in, soldiers greated us to "take a cencus" (and give us a program). We drove through and saw Mary on a donkey walking next to Joseph. In the next sceen, there was an angel appearing to the shepherds while they watched their sheep. Then the shepherds were walking (this one was exciting). At the end there was a barn with a manger surrounded by Mary, Joseph, and the shepherds as well as a few sheep and a llama. Isaac enjoyed it, but kept looking for a cow. When the drive-through was over, we stopped and Isaac pet a llama (who was not wearing red pajama's) and two sheep. He stamped some wrapping paper with various animal stamps and made a Christmas ornament with a cow on it. All in all, it was a short but fun evening. Isaac talked about it half way home and then fell asleep.

You put what in your nose?
So last night at dinner, Casey and I were talking and Isaac says, "I got food in my nose!" We both looked up there and tried in vain to get him to blow his nose. We asked him if he put corn up there and he said, "yes." Then we looked some more and tried again to get him to blow. After a few minutes of trying to figure out what to do...we concluded that there was not really anything we could do. This morning, Casey stayed home with Isaac because he is sick. About half way thru the morning, Isaac sneezes. He comes into the room with snot all over his arm and says, "I got bless you all over me. And corn?" All is well that ends well.

What a day! Isaac got to dress up like Thomas the Train for his Halloween party at school today. He had so much fun! He thought that it was his party, as did all of the other children. They were all walking around saying, "My party is today." "No, my party is today." It was cute! There were two Thomas' in Isaac's class. There was also an Elmo and two Spidermen. ALL of the girls were some form of a princess. They ate rice crispy treats that looked like spiders and cookies that were shaped like bats.

of his new tricks! Maybe next week, he will try
a few things without me there!

"Thanks Carla for the new book! I really like the hat and the whistle! Mommy just makes me wear the bandana. I think it is too hot." He said something like that anyway!!
We have a video of him blowing the whistle and saying thank you...but I couldn't get it to work today. I will try again though, it is very funny! Anyway...we have enjoyed reading the book and Isaac is very proud to know how to blow the whistle! Thanks for thinking of us Carla!

A Day At The Pumpkin Patch
Wow what a day! Isaac got up and went and had his pictures taken in his overalls down by some water. He was barefoot and it was a little chilly. Then, he changed his clothes and we met Emma, Garrett and Mrs. Marti for a trip to the pumpkin patch. The two big kids loaded up in the wagon and Garrett got to ride in the stroller. Look how (cough cough) still they sat for the pictures!

Good memories with good friends today. I am sure that a new tradition has started and I am curious to see how the motley crew grows and changes in this same picture next year!

He had the full attention of everyone as usuall. He rode the
lawn mower (with the mower off of course) and the four
wheeler (only slowly and with a helment). He also worked very
hard as you can tell from the photo below. He learned not
to pick up a cactus, he watched Granddad ride the tractor,
and he pretty much moved constantly. I am so thankful for all of the different experiences that our families can provide
for him. I know he learns something different from each and
every one.

Isaac started school on Monday. What a day! I only cried about half way to school. As you can tell by the picture, he was ready to go! We had to remind him to come back and give Mommy and Daddy hugs! His teachers said that he did great. He did cry for us at naptime, but was sound asleep when I picked him up...he did raise his head up enough to make sure that I got his backpack. He agreed that he would like to go back on Wednesday so I guess that means it's a go!
